His fit only annoys Doraemon who uses his Anywhere Door to get away from the summer heat, to the North Pole. Nobita soon follows and discovers a strange bowling ball-like orb which starts blinking with a pulsating light, and summons what looks like a giant robot’s foot.<br/><br/>After Nobita uses the foot to sled down, crashing into his room through the Anywhere Door, the bowling ball follows him home through the door and another robot piece falls into his backyard. A frozen Doraemon follows soon after, covered in ice before being thawed out and with a cold. Learning of the robot parts, Doraemon admits to Nobita that he has nothing to do with it, and the two use the Opposite World Entrance Oil and the Roll-Up Fishing Hole to enter the World Inside the Mirror, an alternate mirror world without people. There, they build the robot which Nobita christens “Zanda Claus” as he believed the sphere summoning the parts is from Santa Claus.<br/><br/>Using a brain wave controller that Doraemon pulls out of his pocket, Nobita has the robot perform gymnastic maneuvers in a mirror world before bringing Shizuka Minamoto to join the fun. The trio enjoy but later however, Shizuka accidentally presses a button on the control panel that makes the robot fire a huge laser beam that destroys a whole skyscraper. The group realizes just how dangerous Zanda Claus really is, and they decide to return to the real world and forget about ever having found the robot.")

Interested in pirate life and treasury, Nobita asks Doraemon to help him find secret treasures. Doraemon at first denies the pirates roaming in the present day as well as the existence of secret treasures, but after learning news about recently discovered treasury, he helps Nobita in his sea voyage in search for the secret treasure. Bringing along Shizuka Minamoto, “Gian” Goda, and Suneo Honekawa, they roam the Pacific Ocean while playing ship.<br/><br/>However, Doraemon senses a time distortion that takes the group to the 16th century when real dangerous phenomena and sea monsters begin appearing. When a whirlpool destroys the group’s ship, Nobita goes missing due to drowning and floating away, while the others are rescued by 16th century-pirates boarding a huge pirate ship.<br/><br/>All but a few of Doraemon’s gadgets are gone following the whirlpool incident and they must assist the pirates in rescuing their comrades, with a female pirate named Betty having lost track of her brother and father, who is the leader of the company. Although Doraemon’s treasure map is torn in half, the pirates learn that their map is exactly the same as their own treasure map, confirming the existence of the secret treasures.")

He tries to invite Shizuka Minamoto to enter the storybooks of other tales and accidentally brings Takeshi “Gian” Goda and Suneo Honekawa along. Gian and Suneo mess up the storybooks to create a “fresh” tale, which causes Nobita and Shizuka to experience a mishmash of various tales that Shizuka dislikes.<br/><br/>The next day, Doraemon realizes that Shizuka has gone missing and stages a rescue mission by going to 8th century Baghdad, during the reign of caliph Harun al-Rashid, after receiving a confirmation from the future that the world of the Arabian Nights does indeed coincide with the 8th century Abbasid Caliphate. Posing as foreign traders and servants, Nobita, Doraemon, Gian, and Suneo are rescued from Cassim and his bandits by the caliph himself, who gives a permit that allows them to travel from the port of Basra.<br/><br/>Waking up on the shore of the Arabian Desert, the four are forced to walk through it because Doraemon’s pocket is lost during the storm that also crashed Cassim’s ship. However, they are rescued by a gigantic genie commandeered by Sinbad, who reigns over a marvelous city in the desert presented by an anonymous time traveler from the future.")
