It was Saintfiet's first time coaching the Philippines at home and second overall, with the first being against Iraq on March 22 when the Pinoy booters lost 0-1.The Filipinos stayed at the cellar of Group F with just one point and a -8 goal difference (GD) on a 0-1-3 win-draw-loss record.
